Back To All

In celebration of International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralist (IYRP) and the International Year of the Woman Farmer (IYWF), the Canadian Forage and Grassland Association (CFGA) is hosting a Canadian Zoom watch party of the North American Women’s Pastoralist Gathering, followed by a facilitated discussion.

This virtual event provides an opportunity for Canadian women across pastoral, ranching and agricultural communities to collectively view key sessions and engage in meaningful dialogue around the roles, experiences and leadership of women in pastoral and agricultural systems across North America.

Participants can expect presentations and conversations focused on land stewardship, sustainable livestock management, environmental resilience, community leadership and the social and economic realities facing women in pastoral communities. Following the watch party, attendees will be invited to participate in an open discussion, offering space to reflect on key themes, share insights, ask questions and exchange perspectives with others from diverse agricultural and rural backgrounds.

If you’re a pastoralist or rancher woman in Canada, the CFGA invites you join this welcoming, come-as-you-are, virtual event. Participants are encouraged to engage at a level that feels comfortable, whether actively participating in discussion or observing.
