Pollinator Week 2025
Pollinator Week 2025 take place next week from June 16 to 22. Initiated and managed by P2, this week is an annual celebration in support of pollinator health. It is a time to raise awareness for pollinators and spread the word about what we can do to protect them.
Pollinator Week 2025 is a celebration of the vital role that pollinators play in our ecosystems, economies, and agriculture. Under the inspiring theme "Pollinators Weave Connections," this year’s event urges us to appreciate the essential role pollinators play in creating and expressing human culture, in all of its forms. These essential creatures, including bees, butterflies, moths, bats, beetles and hummingbirds, are the unsung heroes behind the food we enjoy and the beauty that surrounds us.
The CFGA is pleased to celebrate Pollinator Week 2025 because of the importance of pollinators to forage production and Canada’s grasslands. Did you know that pollinators enhance forage growth because many forages rely on pollination which contributes to plant growth and seed formation? They also play a key role in native plant reproduction, helping to maintain a rich and adaptable grassland ecosystem.
People can celebrate and get involved in Pollinator Week in a number of ways from planting for pollinators to participating in online bee and butterfly ID workshops. However you celebrate, P2 invites you to share your story by tagging them on social media using the hashtag #PollinatorWeek.
Visit the P2 Pollinator Week website to discover resources, learn about pollinator-friendly initiatives and be inspired to contribute to the vision of a greener and more sustainable tomorrow.
