Back To All

The Canadian Forage and Grassland Association (CFGA) is leading a project through the Canada Nature Fund program to adapt and customize the online Habitat and Biodiversity Assessment Tool (HBAT) for use in provinces across Canada. The tool, originally developed in Alberta, is a source of biodiversity conservation information and supporting resources for all of those interested in habitat stewardship on the land they own or manage, particularly those within Environmental Farm Plan (EFP) programs. The CFGA is excited to be moving to the next phase of the British Columbia HBAT development following multiple successful tool launches including Nova Scotia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

The CFGA is hosting a session for British Columbia Stakeholders on Sept. 30, 2024, at 11 - 1pm PDT. The agenda includes a brief background on the tool, a demonstration of how to use the tool, reading and using reports generated and the next steps. This is an opportunity for stakeholders and potential end-users to ask questions and provide additional insight as the CFGA prepares for the next development phase of this project. Stakeholder feedback is critical to ensuring end-user functionality and tool uptake.

The session will be recorded and recorded access provided to all who register or express interest but cannot attend. Please contact Kaylee Healy at [email protected] for further event or communications details.
