Back To All

The Canadian Forage and Grassland Association (CFGA) is part of a national grassland coalition established in June 2024 committed to learning about, conserving, protecting and advocating for natural grasslands. Led by the Canadian Wildlife Federation (CWF), the Canadian Grassland Coalition (CGC) is dedicated to improving Canadians’ awareness of the importance and vulnerability of Canada’s natural grasslands.

Join the Canadian Wildlife Federation and members of the Canadian Grassland Coalition for a national webinar series about Canada’s grasslands.

Native pollinators and plants of the mixed-grass prairie in Manitoba are vital to a healthy ecosystem. Here in Brandon, MB, Bee City Brandon educates the community and shares simple things people can do to support our pollinators.

Speaker:

Sherry Punak-Murphy is the Chairperson of Bee City Brandon and a range biologist who has spent more than 30 years working in Manitoba’s mixed-grass prairie. She is passionate about all insects—yes, even the misunderstood ones—and enjoys helping people discover the vital roles native pollinators and plants play in healthy ecosystems. An avid iNaturalist user, Sherry loves learning alongside the community and sharing practical, down-to-earth ways people can support biodiversity right in their own yards and neighbourhoods.
