Back To All

Join the BC Cattleman Association, Ministry of Agriculture and Food BC, and the BC Forage Council as they guide farmers and industry professionals through three days of hands-on learning across Vancouver Island. Join fellow farmers and industry professionals to tour farms, and discuss seeding and grazing strategies, drought adaptability, farm business decisions, and more!

These field days offer an excellent opportunity to tour working farms in Saanich, Duncan, and Black Creek while diving deep into seeding and grazing strategies, drought adaptability, and farm business decisions.

A highlight of each day will be Graeme Fowler’s live demonstrations of OFCAF equipment, including cutting-edge tools like off-stream watering systems, solar watering troughs, and portable electric fencing units that are revolutionizing rotational grazing practices.

With free lunch provided and the chance to network with fellow producers, these events promise to deliver practical insights that you can immediately apply to strengthen your own farm system.

The day will also feature an OFCAF Advanced Rotational Grazing System Equipment Demonstrations with the BC Forage Council.

Funding for this event, in part, has been provided by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada through the Agricultural Climate Solutions – On-Farm Climate Action Fund. Funding for this event is also provided [in part] by Farmers for Climate Solutions.
