This training session is for professional agrologists and field staff who are interested in exploring pasture assessment protocols and monitoring tools in B.C. Over a day and a half, topics covered include:

• Plant ID (including weeds)

• Intro to soil characteristics

• Rangeland health

• B.C. grazing management guide – native & tame assessments

• Other pasture scorecards available

• Grazing response index

• Purpose of assessment and monitoring tools & determining appropriate use

The field days will occur in the Vernon area (ranch location to be confirmed). Written materials for review will be provided prior to the event, with physical copies provided the day of. Directions and details to be provided to all paid registrants at least one week in advance.
