Join the ARECA for this year’s field day at the University of Alberta Mattheis Research Ranch, which is a CFGA Advanced Grazing Systems demo site.

The event promises an engaging and hands-on tour exploring cutting-edge practices in pasture management. Participants will delve into the practical use of virtual collars for precision grazing, discover the potential of "razer grazers" in controlled pasture access, and see solar-powered watering systems in action — demonstrating how technology and stewardship can work hand in hand to build a more resilient ranching future.

Attendees will also explore water infiltration measurements, polycrop grazing techniques, and receive an update on climate action through grazing.

Location : University of Alberta Mattheis Research Ranch, Rosemary, AB T0J 0Z0

Cost to attend is $20/person, includes lunch. The field tours will held outdoors, please prepare accordingly.
