Ever wondered about virtual fencing, continuous versus rotational grazing and living labs? 

Join in to take a tour and learn about some of its ongoing projects, including virtual fencing, continuous versus rotational grazing projects and its effects, living labs and much more. Lunch included and everyone welcome!

The Roy Berg Kinsella Research Ranch is a state-of-the-art livestock handling facility and home to ~850 head of cattle that graze rotationally.

For those of you looking for transportation, a bus will be traveling from Millet and will arrive at the ranch in time for coffee and registration.

Cost: $20 cash on arrival or e-transfer to [email protected] and include your name, email and Kinsella Tour in the Message field.

Event agenda
- 9 to 9:30 a.m. – Registration and coffee
- 9:30 to 9:45 a.m. – Welcome note
- 9:45 to 11 a.m. – Morning walk to look at infrastructure for rotational grazing (CAT-G project)
- 11 to 11:30 a.m. – Effects of grazing management on soil nitrogen cycling genes, nitrogen fixation and below-ground nitrogen transfer
- 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Investigating the effects of grazing management and stocking rate on CH4 emissions
- 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. – Lunch at Kinsella Community Centre
- 1:30 to 2 p.m. – Conservation of riparian areas using virtual fencing technology
- 2 to 3 p.m. – Living labs
