For the past 28 years, Bart has managed a research program focusing on applied beef cattle management and forage production. Bart is a professor in the Department of Animal and Poultry Science at the University of Saskatchewan where he supervises undergraduate and graduate students and teaches courses in forage production and beef cattle nutrition. His program focuses on pasture and water management in cow-calf systems, summer and winter grazing systems, ruminant nutrition, heifer development and applied genomics. Bart works closely with producers to ensure applicability of results back to industry.

Bart’s session will provide a discussion of pasture management to enhance the benefits of legumes and carbon sequestration.
