Alberta’s native grasslands are among Canada’s most diverse and threatened ecosystems. In this engaging presentation, Ellie Annett explores the story of Alberta’s grasslands, the species that depend on them and the challenges these unique landscapes face today.

Through stories, wildlife examples and conservation successes, participants will discover why grasslands are so important, how they continue to be lost and what can be done to help protect them. The webinar highlights the importance of increasing awareness and encouraging stewardship to ensure these vital ecosystems continue to thrive for future generations.

About the Speaker
Ellie Annett is an educator and advocate for environmental conservation and stewardship. Born and raised on the grasslands, she is passionate about helping people build meaningful connections with the land through engaging and accessible learning experiences. Her work with the Alberta Prairie Conservation Forum focuses on increasing awareness of prairie ecosystems and inspiring stewardship across the Prairies.
