Delegates are arriving in Fredericton, New Brunswick, for the Canadian Forage and Grassland Association’s (CFGA) 16th annual conference taking place this week tomorrow through Nov. 21.

With the theme Greener Horizons: Technological Innovations in Forage and Grassland Management, this year’s event is being held in partnership with the New Brunswick Soil and Crop Improvement Association (NBSCIA) and will highlight the cutting-edge advancements shaping the future of sustainable agriculture.

The event kicks off tomorrow, Nov. 18, with two concurrent pre-conference workshops – the Grasslands Stakeholder Summit (hybrid) and the Advanced Grazing Mentorship Workshop (in-person only) – followed by the welcome reception and opening of the industry trade show in the evening.

Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 19 and 20, feature expert-led sessions exploring smart tech, pasture strategies and innovations in forage management systems. Wednesday night, the CFGA will announce the winner of its 2025 Leadership Award at a special dinner and on Thursday, the evening will see a Building Bridges Social bring together those who have an impact on forage, pasture and grasslands to network and build stronger connections.

We wrap up on Friday, Nov. 21, when we hop on a bus and travel to three innovative family farms that showcase integrated crop and livestock systems, sustainable forage management and regionally adapted practices.
